Youth Protection Training
The safety and well-being of our youth is of paramount importance to our organization, and integral to everything we do. We must continue our commitment to providing a safe and secure environment at all times for all our youth members. Youth Protection Training is mandatory for all adult parents and leader volunteers.
How to complete Youth Protection Training (YPT):
1. Go to https://my.scouting.org
Login to account (SAME as when you registered your scout)
2. Complete Youth Protection Training (about 65 minutes)
Click on the "Youth Protection Begins With You" logo.
You must complete all three courses and pass the exam to be awarded Y01 trained status whether it is your initial training or 2-year recertification.
The three modules are:
Overview and Policies (24 min)
Sexual Abuse (25 min)
Bullying (13 min)
3. Pass the exam (4th course)
After completing all three modules and passing the exam, it may take up to 24 hours to see your certificate in My.Scouting.
4. Print or Download-and-Email certificate of completion to Committee
Navigate to your "My Training" page. Your YPT status should indicate ACTIVE. Click on "Print Certificate" to print or download as a PDF.
